Nagarahole National Park offers both jeep and canter safaris. A jeep safari is the most thrilling way in — rides last about 2–3 hours and take you deep into the forest to see flora, fauna and birds from a safe distance.
Jeeps seat up to 6 guests plus a driver and forest guide. Morning and evening slots run year-round. Forest officials assign the vehicle; you cannot choose a specific jeep. Advance online booking is the surest way to enter the park.

Seating
Maximum 6 guests per jeep, plus driver and forest guide. Up to 2 children below 12 years may share, subject to forest rules.
Reporting
Report at Kakanakote, Nanachi or Veeranahosahally at least 45 minutes before departure with the same physical photo ID used while booking.
Important Safari Points
- Jeeps follow different forest routes for a varied sighting experience.
- Safaris run in two shifts — morning and evening — throughout the year (monsoon may interrupt some tracks).
- Vehicle and guide are allotted by forest officials; you cannot choose a specific jeep.
- Wear earthy colours (khaki, green, brown). Plastic, liquor, speakers and smoking are banned inside the reserve.
- Always prefer advance online booking, especially on weekends and from October to May.
